Port Orleans Riverside is a resort that invokes the southern charm of Louisiana and days gone by. Nestled along the Sassagoula River and surrounded by huge huge trees you can take your family on a trip into the past.
Port Orleans Riverside is a moderate resort with two distinct styles of rooms. One is an old southern mansion located in Magnolia Bend with white column architecture where you really feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The other side of the resort has a more down home feel in a section called Alligator Bayou. Alligator Bayou is a throwback to the famous swamplands of Louisiana. Port Orleans Riverside has rooms to fit a family of 5 with two queen size beds and a pull down twin under the television. Rooms that sleep 5 are located in Alligator Bayou. The mansion rooms in Magnolia Bend only sleep families of 4, but it is here that you can find the Royal Princess Rooms which were added to the resort in 2012. These rooms are themed with the ultimate Princess in mind.

Port Orleans is a full scale resort with tons of activities. Just some of the things that your family can enjoy while staying at the resort are a catch and release fishing hole, renting a pontoon boat, renting a surrey bike, letting the kids have some time away on a pirate cruise, and much, much more.
Located in the center of the resort is Ol’ Man Island. Inspired by the stories of Tom Sawyer the island is home to the resort's feature pool. The pool includes a slide which will delight kids of all ages. On the island there is also the Muddy Rivers pool bar, a hot tub for after those long days at the park, campfire pit for storytelling in the evening, and a playground for the little ones to burn off energy.

As a member of the moderate resort category Port Orleans also has your dining needs covered. Boatwright's is a full service table restaurant with a Louisiana cuisine inspired menu. Quick service is covered with Riverside Mill food court. With their large selection that includes 5 stations of meals including hamburgers, pizza, create your own pasta so even the pickiest eater will find something to satisfy them. If you’re looking for a place to unwind after a full day in the park Port Orleans is also home to the River Roost Lounge. Home of the piano player extraordinaire Ye Haa Bob who entertains guests Wednesday through Saturday nights starting at 8:30 pm. The River Roost Lounge serves a wide variety of bar drinks opening at 4 pm daily.
