Park Spotlight: Mickey's A Very Merry Christmas Party Review

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

I had the pleasure of taking my daughter to her first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party last year and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

First off, with tickets to the Christmas Party (just like the Halloween Party), you can get into Magic Kingdom at 4 pm, even though the party doesn’t officially start till 7pm-12am. This means you can save a day-ticket and just go to the park at 4pm - or you can use a day-ticket to get in before 4pm.

Between 4pm and 7pm, you will want to look for these signs:

This location was at Fantasy Fare, the Fastpass Kiosk location outside of Philharmagic.

If you are entering the park at 4pm, you will get your wristband at the entrance. If you will be in the park before 4pm, a Cast Member will tell you the locations for that night’s party.

A festively dressed Cast Member will scan your magic band to make sure you have a party ticket and then you will go to another festively dressed Cast Member to get your wristband. (I love their outfits - especially the guy’s holly bow ties!)

Now feel special - because every Cast Member you encounter for the rest of the night will immediately look at your wrist when they see you - if they don’t see one on you once the clock strikes 7pm, you will be politely walked to the front of the park.

Ok, you have your wristband on so go have some fun! At 7pm, start keeping your eyes out for these HUGE candy canes:

At these places you can get delicious hot cocoa and cookies - Mmmmm

If you want a healthy option, you can get apple slices, gluten-free cookies and apple juice.

Want to experience some Disney magic? Head over to Main Street where it will be snowing! Just don’t try and catch it on your tongue. It will taste a lil yucky. :)

You can also meet lots of characters, from the 7 Dwarfs to Pooh, Tigger and Piglet and more! Including the jolly man himself, Santa! He can be found by City Hall.

Dance the night away with characters at Cosmic Ray’s Club Tinsel and watch Queen Elsa use her magic to dress up the castle for the Holidays

Don’t forget to catch Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade, which starts in Frontierland at 8:15 and 10:30 in the evening plus Holiday Wishes fireworks will light up the sky at 9:30.

Don’t forget to stop by the Fire Station on Main Street or the Sorcerers stand next the Christmas Shoppe for your party card:
