Park Spotlight: Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival

There are so many wonderful times of the year to visit Disney World, but the most overlooked one seems to be during their Flower and Garden Festival. I have the perfect week that I like to visit where the crowds are low and the weather is beautiful. It is truly a refreshing time to visit and the scenery is just beautiful. The Flower and Garden festival usually runs from March through May and is filled with amazing Disney themed topiaries, delicious food, good music, and fun for the kiddies.

I know that you need to entertain those little ones while you are there. There are plenty of exhibits for the kids to learn and play. My kids love to go all around Epcot to find their favorite characters in topiary form. (Of course we have to take a picture with every single one) They also love going to the butterfly exhibit and it was a must to stop and play at the music garden melodies playground. They had so much fun that we could barely pull them away and we didn’t even experience all of the fun that was waiting for them in Epcot.

Lets talk food for a second: You know all those snack credits that you get when you book with the dining plan? This is when you use those… alllllll of those. Go from stand to stand around the world and try everything that sounds tasty. When you make it to Italy, stop at Primavera Kitchen and order the Mezze Lune Primavera!! It is to die for!! Wash it down with the Rossini and you won’t be sorry. Ugh.. what I wouldn’t give for someone to make me that now. YUMM!!
If you’re a lover of music and you are attending the Flower and Garden Festival over the weekend, make sure to stay for the music! On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, you will find bands playing at night in the America Gardens Theatre. Grab some food, enjoy the waterfront view and listen to some great music before heading back to your Disney Resort to rest up for the next fun day in the park.
This festival has something for everyone in the family to enjoy. When you are contemplating when to book your next Walt Disney World vacation, remember to consider going around this time of year. It’s a beautiful site that you won’t want to miss.
