Park Spotlight: Tips for Touring Walt Disney World During the Busy Season

Let's face it, Spring Break or Christmas break is a very convenient time to go on a vacation and what better place to visit then the most magical place on Earth, Walt Disney World! However, there's one issue that all who visit Disney from during the busiest times of the year, the CROWDS! No need to worry, here are some great tips to help you navigate Spring or Christmas Break at Disney World!
1.) Stay on Disney Property- You will get special perks like magic bands, extra magic hours, free parking and transportation, access to money-saving dining plans and more!
2.) Plan ahead- Disney allows you to plan your Disney vacation a year prior to your trip! The more you know about Disney, the more you can navigate the parks! Know exactly which park you will visit on which day. Consider researching crowd calendars for the best tips on when and where to go.
3.) Reserve character meals early- Walking up to a character meal and requesting a table during your trip is difficult! Walking up to a character meal during Spring break and getting a table will prove close to impossible! Do yourself a favor take advantage of Disney’s 180 day rule and book your dining early to secure your spot. Now instead of standing in line to meet characters, they come to you! This will save you time!
3.) Fastpasses- How does skipping the long lines sound? Pretty good, right? Fastpasses allow you to walk right onto the most popular rides. Not only that, you can fastpass great seats for shows and fireworks, too! Disney resort guests get to book fastpasses 60 days before their trip, 30 days sooner than non-resort guests! Which means, you get to have first dibs! Start with 3 fastpasses a day, then grab more, one at a time, from one of the many fastpass kiosks around each of the parks.
4.) Arrive Early- Your goal is to arrive before the park opens! And..if you can secure a dining that starts before the park opens, even better!! This is a great opportunity for some photo ops!
5.) Rest day- Always try to plan a day of rest! There's nothing like limping your last day of Disney because your legs are too sore to walk. Take a break in between your days at Disney to explore your resort or even Disney Springs!
6.) Download the MyDisneyExperience app- This app will be your guide for wait times, your fastpasses, your itinerary and more! This will be a great way to see which ride to go on next!
7.) Have fun- Let's be honest there will be lots of people and lots of people mean there will be long lines but here there are ways to have fun while you pass the time. Here's a one..Download the hidden Mickey app and search for Mickey at your favorite rides!
