Who wouldn’t love spending their magical vacation at the Contemporary Resort located off the monorail at Magic Kingdom? This modern resort has so much to offer guests. From spectacular views of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks to extraordinary dining opportunities, this resort will go beyond your expectations of a Disney resort. Accommodations can be made in the A-frame Contemporary tower or at the nearby Garden Wing. Bay Lake Tower is a 15 story building that was built as part of Disney’s Vacation Club. Walt Disney World’s monorail stops inside the Contemporary resort where many guests like to eat at the all famous Chef Mickey’s. There are other amazing dining restaurants at the Contemporary Resort. California Grill and Contempo Café have amazing reviews as well.

The Contemporary Resort is a deluxe resort that opened in 1971. It has so many wonderful opportunities to offer its guests. It is one of the first resorts built at Walt Disney World. There are over 1,000 rooms at this resort. Most guest rooms enjoy beautiful views of the Seven Seas Lagoon, Bay Lake or the Magic Kingdom. Standard rooms and suites are available at this resort. The guest rooms here are amongst the largest on Disney property.

Everyone LOVES to eat with Mickey Mouse and his friends at the table-service character dining buffet Chef Mickey’s! You may eat breakfast, lunch or dinner at this fabulous restaurant. It is located inside the Contemporary Resort and you can see the monorail come by as well as sit near the window and see an amazing view of Magic Kingdom. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto will visit your table for pictures and autographs. The food is absolutely amazing! Reservations are highly recommended to be made 180 days prior to your trip.

California Grill is a table-service signature dining restaurant. It is located on the 15th floor of the Contemporary Resort. Its view of Cinderella’s Castle are simply breath-taking! Guests may enjoy watching the fireworks from the California Grill. This signature dining has a dress code. Reservations are highly recommended to be made 180 days prior to your trip.

Contempo Café is the quick-service restaurant located inside the Contemporary Resort. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. No reservations are needed for the quick-service restaurants.

While vacationing at the Contemporary Resort, guests may walk to Magic Kingdom, ride the monorail to other resorts or Magic Kingdom, use boat transportation and bus transportation. This resort offers so many opportunities for guests to feel at ease during their magical Walt Disney World vacation. Guests can also view the electrical water pageant at this resort.
