Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is the flagship resort at Walt Disney World. This Victorian style resort makes me think of two words: sophistication and elegance. The resort is located near Magic Kingdom and is part of the monorail loop. The inspiration of the resort comes from San Diego’s Hotel Del Coronado. When you first step foot into the FIVE story atrium lobby, you will have your breath taken away. Stained glass domes, elegant chandeliers, an aviary looking elevator, and a grand piano add to the lavishness of this resort.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is made up of 900 resort rooms. The resort rooms are categorized by Standard & Deluxe or Rooms & Suites with Club Level Access. In the “Standard & Deluxe Category” you have the Outer Building Rooms: Theme Park View, Lagoon View, Garden View, and Deluxe Room w/ Garden View. In the “Rooms & Suites with Club Level Access Category” have the following style rooms: Outer Building - Standard Room; Main Building - Standard Room; Main Building – Theme Park View; Outer Building - 1 Bedroom Suite; Main Building – Deluxe King Room; Outer Building – 2 Bedroom Suite. Each room offers the following amenities: Soaker Tub, Free WiFi Services, Hair Dryer, Telephone with voice mail, In Room Safe, Alarm Clock with Radio, Coffee Maker, Iron & Ironing Board, and Mini-Refrigerator.
