Adventures By Disney Spotlight: Arizona and Utah
On the Adventures by Disney’s Arizona & Utah itinerary, you’ll spend 8 days / 7 nights taking in the beauty of the Old West and all it’s wonders! From Sedona to the Grand Canyon to Monument Valley and Moab, UT and Arches National Park, Disney’s Adventure Guides have authentic activities in store with families in mind. And like any Disney adventure, there will be magical moments and extras along the way!
Your adventure begins when you arrive at Phoenix International Airport where you will be greeted by an Adventures by Disney representative who will handle all of your luggage and you’ll climb aboard an air-conditioned motor coach headed for your first stop, the Enchantment Resort, in Sedona, AZ. Before you get to the resort, the motor coach will stop in uptown-Sedona so you can look around this charming little town.
Once you get to your resort and check-in, you’ll have time to wander around the resort and check out the grounds. This marvelous resort is surrounded by over 70 acres of scrub forest and red rock formations. Walk around and take in the views. At the Welcome Dinner, you’ll get to meet your fellow adventurers and watch the sun set over the red rocks of Boynton Canyon. Soon, the stars will start to appear in the night sky as you hear the music of the Native American flute being played.
The next morning you’ll eat breakfast before you head off with the group for an off-road tour to Diamondback Gulch. After the tour, you and your fellow adventurers will relax in Sedona and eat a delicious lunch before heading out on your own through the little town’s shops and galleries. Or you could head back to the resort and enjoy the fun amenities like the pool, pitch ’n’ putt golf, steam room, free bike rental, yoga/health, wellness classes, tennis, sauna, meditation area, hiking trails and world-class spa* (*additional cost applies to spa usage). Dinner is on your own tonight, ask your Adventure Guide for recommendations at the hotel or in town.
On Day 3, you will have breakfast on your own with your family before meeting up with the group. Today your group will be taking a private tour on a safari bus through Bearizona Wildlife Park - see see black bears, bison and wolves in a natural environment before having lunch next to the jaguar enclosure! After lunch, you’ll have a chance to explore more around the park or go shopping. Afterwards, visit around the little town of Williams, AZ and learn about the history of the legendary Route 66 and this special town at the base of Bill Williams Mountain. After this little town you’ll stop at Mather Point where you’ll get your first glimpse of the 7th Wonder of the World, the Grand Canyon! Your group will get some time to spend here before heading your new resort for this leg of your trip, Grand Canyon National Park Lodging, for a savory western BBQ dinner and an exclusive Native American dance performance. Sit back and enjoy your spectacular views!

Enjoy breakfast with your family on day 4 before meeting up with the group, today you’ll be heading to the Grand Canyon National Park where you will have a privately guided tour with a naturalist guide leading the way. Make sure you don’t forget your camera for this part of your vacation, this is a part of the family vacation that you are always going to want to remember! After everyone eats lunch, you’ll join your Adventure Guide for a hike on one the South Rim’s many trails. Dinner will be on your own at the end of the day, so ask your Adventure Guide for a recommendation.
This morning you’ll have breakfast with your family at the lodge and get ready to start another day of adventure! You’ll be traveling to Monument Valley today to stay at Goulding’s Lodge for the next night. When you arrive at the Lodge, you and your fellow adventurers will have lunch in the historic restaurant. Sit back and take in the stunning panoramic views of this stunning valley. As you ride in a private, climate-controlled mini-coach across Monument valley, you’ll get you to listen to an authentic Navajo guide tell stories and give insight on the surrounding beauties of the mesas and geological wonders!

Afterwards, the guide will take you back to the Lodge where you’ll get to take advantage of the amenities like the year-round, indoor heated swimming pool, seasonal outdoor sundeck, computer station, fitness room and Yellow Ribbon Gift Shop. There’s also a museum, the Trading Post, that you can to a gander through. Adventurers will be sure to enjoy dinner time where they will take part in a cookout dinner where good eats and fantastic stories about life in the Old West are on the menu at the Navajo Taco Cookout Dinner and Storytelling event.
Be sure to enjoy a delightful breakfast on day 6 before heading out to Moab, UT today. Upon your arrival in Moab, you’ll be eating lunch on your own, so ask your guide for a recommendation, choosing from Southwestern, Mexican or Traditional American cuisine. After lunch, you’ll be rafting down the Colorado River (Cass l-ll)! Local experts will lead you on this incredible adventure so keep your eyes open for all the natural wonders around you!
Afterwards, you’ll be heading to the last resort of your journey, Red Cliffs Lodge, where you’ll get to spend the afternoon hiking or swimming or for an additional cost you can chose between horseback riding, jeep excursions, motorbiking and more! There is also a local winery located here that you can visit. At dinner, kids will have their own dinner party with kid-friendly fare as adults will get to dine at their leisure at the lodge. After dinner, everyone can meet up for a Disney movie night!

On day 7, make sure you have a hearty breakfast with your family before meeting up with the group. You’ll be heading out the Arches National Park today before heading back to the lodge to have lunch with the group on the rustic Pioneer Deck. After lunch you’ll get another afternoon to spend on your own with your family doing whatever you want around the lodge before you head to the last dinner of your trip. A Cowboy Cookout on the banks of the Colorado River all with fun-filled rootin-tootin’ good times for everyone! Enjoy listening to the cowboy sing the Western songs as you toast your new found friends and gobble up some down-home cookin’. There will be lots of family bonding, fun and memories being made on this trip that will last forever! Don’t worry if you don’t think you got a picture of special moments, because the Adventure Guides probably did! They’re always taking candid pictures!
On the morning of day 8, enjoy your last breakfast before gathering up all of your things to get ready for your trip home. Your family will take a private one-group transfer to Grand Junction, CO airport and say goodbye to this beautiful part of the country before heading home. Oh, and don’t worry about your luggage at all during your trip, just have it ready to go - Disney will move it to your next resort!
