Ship Spotlight: Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas
Who wouldn’t love spending their vacation relaxing on a cruise shop and soaking up the sun? Royal Caribbean’s ship Allure of the Seas is the most decorated ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet. It has won more awards than any other ship in the world! It won best Entertainment 2017 by Cruise Critic Cruiser’s Choice Awards.
Allure of the Seas is a very big cruise ship from the Oasis fleet measuring at 1,187 feet in length. It has 2,706 staterooms ranging in size from 149 square feet to 1,724 square feet. It can hold 5,400 people with double occupancy. The maximum number of people on the cruise ship is 6,296. This ship has 1956 balcony cabins, 254 outside cabins (which means oceanview) and 496 interior cabins (which means no view of the ocean). 46 of the cabins are wheelchair accessible making it available to accommodate guests with disabilities. Some cabin suites can accommodate up to 8 guests.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida is the home for this cruise liner. However, beginning in November of 2018, this cruise ship’s home will be Miami, Florida. The Allure of the Seas offers 7 night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. Some ports for the Eastern Caribbean cruise include Nassau Bahamas, St Maarten Island, Saint Thomas Island, St Kitts Island and San Juan Puerto Rico. Some ports for the Western Caribbean cruise include Jamaica, Cozumel Mexico, Costa Maya Mexico, Roatan Island Honduras and Haiti’s private island Falmouth.
Going on a cruise can be a wonderful vacation for all ages. The Allure of the Seas caters to every type of cruiser. From families, couples, adventurers to even food and wine lovers, this cruise ship has it all! It has 17 decks and many adventurous and exciting activities onboard. Some of those things include high diving, the Aquatheater, a mini golf course, a zip line, great dining and an H2O Water Park.
The pool options are an asset to the cruise ship. This cruise ship has the H20 water park, the Flow Rider, and other pools as well as the Solarium which is an adult only pool/whirlpool. The zip line as well as the central park shopping and dining area and the Aqua-theater Shows are other intriguing assets for the cruise ship. The Aqua-theater Shows include Olympic divers that perform breath-taking stunts. Many of the Broadway shows are fascinating. CATS, Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You and Grease are among a few of the favorite musicals performed.
Many of the dining options are included with the original cost of the cruise. Guests can dine in the Adagio main dining hall each night. However, on all ships, there are other dining options that require additional cost. The Chops Grille is an exquisite steakhouse that is not included in the original price of the cruise. Some other restaurants that cost extra include 150 Central Park, Giovanni’s Table, Samba Grill (near the adult only pool), Rita’s Cantina. DreamWorks Character Dining is extra. It is a breakfast that allows guests to meet characters from Shrek, Madagascar and King Fu Panda.
Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas is a fascinating and captivating cruise liner. Whether you want to just simply relax or indulge in adventurous and thrilling activities; this cruise ship has it all! Some activities charge fees, but many of the activities are free and included in the cost of the cruise.
