If you are going to Walt Disney World, you must eat at Chef Mickeys!!! It is one of the most iconic restaurants at Walt Disney World!! Who doesn’t want to eat with Mickey and his friends???
Everyone LOVES to eat with Mickey Mouse and his friends at the table-service character dining buffet Chef Mickey’s! You may eat breakfast, brunch or dinner at this fabulous restaurant. It is located inside the Contemporary Resort and you can see the monorail come by as well as sit near the window and see an amazing view of Magic Kingdom. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto will visit your table for pictures and autographs. The food is amazing!!! Reservations are highly recommended to be made 180 days prior to your trip.
Here are 5 reasons why you will love Chef Mickeys:

Simply the Food! – The quality of food at Chef Mickeys is amazing. Whether you choose breakfast, brunch or dinner, there is an enormous buffet full of wonderful food. And it’s a buffet- you can go back as many times as you want! The desserts are absolutely to die for! I love eating Mickey Mouse Oreos!
Kids love The Fab 5- You don’t have to wait in the long lines at the parks to meet Mickey and his friends. They come to your table and interact with your kids signing autographs and posing for pictures. They also have a time where the characters encourage the kids to get up and dance with them! One of the best character meals at Walt Disney World.
Be a Kid Yourself- Characters are not just there to mingle with the kids. They will pose for pictures and visit with adults too! No matter how old you are, you are never too old to be a kid at Disney. Take those photos and enjoy the once in a lifetime experience!
Location of the Restaurant- It’s just a monorail away from the Magic Kingdom. It is the closest resort character dining experience to Magic Kingdom. Some people enjoy eating breakfast here before the parks open and then head straight to Magic Kingdom as soon as they are done. It is very convenient in its location for guests staying at the Contemporary. Its location also allows guests to even view Magic Kingdom’s fireworks.

The Ambiance of the Restaurant- The atmosphere and setting of Chef Mickey’s makes the hustle and bustle all worthwhile! This big, open dining room with the monorail zooming by overhead sets the tone for a magical experience. There is also a memory maker photographer located just to the right as you sign in that takes a family photo that makes you feel you are ready to embark on a magical encounter with Mickey and his friends.
Chef Mickeys is one of the restaurants that participate in the Dining Plan. If you are paying out of pocket for your meal, Chef Mickeys can get rather expensive. For guests age 10 and over, dinner prices range from $55. For guests age 3-9, dinner prices average about $35. Prices for breakfast and brunch are a little cheaper. As you can see, having the dining plan is great when eating at these amazing character restaurants!
If you have never ate at Chef Mickeys, I encourage you to give it a try! You won’t be sorry! Between the enormous variety of food and mingling with the Fab Five, Chef Mickey’s will become one of your favorite dining experiences! Everyone loves to be a kid at Disney World!
